Chicago Area and Northern Illinois
Veolia Environmental Services currently operates two long term capacity municipal solid waste
landfills servicing the Greater Chicago and Northern Illinois area that
are available to outside customers:
- Orchard Hills Landfill in Davis
Junction, Illinois
- Zion Landfill in Zion, Illinois
Both of these landfills accept:
- Municipal Solid Waste
- Special Waste
- Asbestos Waste materials
These
landfills are equipped to handle both direct haul volumes as well as
transfer trailer volume, both on tipper trailers as well as walking floor

Veolia Environmental Services operates five IEPA (Illinois Environmental Protection
Agency) transfer stations in the Chicago
area accepting commercial, residential and industrial solid waste from
both internal as well as external customers:
